We sample the artist and add it to the mix.
Somewhere between covers, remixes and mashups, we drop samples into our live set, creating the huge sound you get from a DJ but fronted by a five-piece live band.
It just WORKS! The most common thing we hear from audiences is, “Of course!” and the most common thing we hear from other bands is, “Why didn’t we think of that?!”

No constant changing of band members here – The Lightyears are made up of friends and brothers who have been playing in the same line-up since we were kids. We’re a family, and when we get booked for an event, we bring our audience into that family.

We may look like a band, but we think like a DJ. So while other bands play song-by-song, we make like a DJ and build dynamic blocks of music that flow together, keeping your event rocking from start to finish.
